ACHIEVEMENTS:
Due to our value system, we continue to attract and have maintained
a good number of formidable clients from East, Central as well as
Southern Africa whose expectations and needs we continue to not only

BANKING:
We have received special recognition for being one of the law firms
with the fastest response and turn around time in the Conveyancing
and Securities panel at Barclays Bank of Kenya Ltd and were picked
to handle the Barclays Bank Home Loan product purely on the basis of
our turn around time.
We have also been the leading Conveyancing and Debt Collection firm
on the panel of Housing Finance Company of Kenya Ltd since the year
2002.
We successfully collected debts for Barclays Bank of Kenya Ltd (over
US$ 1Million) in the year 2006 and defended the interests of the

In June
2005 the firm won a tender to review all the security documents of
Barclays Bank of Kenya Ltd.
In November of 2005 the firm won a tender to review all the security
documents of Barclays Bank Tanzania Ltd.
In the year 2006 we secured another tender for the review of all
security documents at Barclays Bank of Uganda Ltd. The security
reviews included studying the various documents and coming up with
recommendations regarding their compliance with legal regulations
and enforceability.
The documents included: - Letters of Offer, Charges, Mortgages,
Debentures, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Pledges, Liens,
Guarantees and Indemnities, Title documents, Security Sharing
Agreements, Syndicated Loan Agreements and Commercial Paper Issues.
INSURANCE:
We have attended to Insurance cases in court for U.A.P Provision
Insurance Company Ltd, Fidelity Shield Insurance Company Ltd,
Madison Insurance Company (K) Ltd, A.P.A Insurance Ltd and PACIS
Insurance Company Ltd.
ARBITRATION:
We have handled several Arbitration cases for our clients, China
Road and Bridge Corporation (Kenya) and Heidelberg East Africa
Limited among others. The disputes have involved a combined total of
over US$ 20 Million in the last several years
The team Leader Cecil G. Miller was involved in a two year exercise
at the Goldenberg commission of Inquiry, where he represented the
interests of the Deposit Protection Fund Board of the Central Bank
of Kenya.
He has also made appearances at the Procurement Appeals Tribunal for
Computer Applications Ltd, Web Engineering Ltd, Systech Limited,
Lantech Africa Ltd, MFI Office Solutions Ltd and represented the
Swiss Company, Orell Fuesli in the Kenya Currency tender at Central
Bank of Kenya.
Part of our legal team has been to Burundi to negotiate with the
Ministry of Trade of the Government of Burundi on behalf of our
South African client SMM HEALTHCARE LTD for contracts aimed at
provision of pharmaceutical products and setting up of a
pharmaceutical plant in Burundi.
The firm's Litigation team has handled litigation matters on behalf
of very notable Kenyan, Ugandan and Tanzanian personalities.
